Celebrating Earth Day, 1,000 Tilapia Fish Released to Ciliwung River

1,000 tilapia fish released in Ciliwung River and 150 productive trees planted in Ciliwung riverbank, RW 06, Pejaten Timur, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. Trees planting and fish releasing activities were held to celebrating Earth Day which usually celebrated on April 22.

Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji said, Earth Day celebration growing our awareness the importance of living environments by maintaining cleanliness and repairing ecosystem.

Djarot to Attend Commemoration of Earth Day

PALYJA Corporate Communications and Social Responsibilities Division Head, Meyritha Maryanie explained, the planted trees varieties are jack fruit, matoa, cannonball, cinnamon, tamarind, and walnut.

"In this activity which coincided with Kartini's Day celebration, we invite young generation to consider the importance of maintaining the environment," she closed.
