Traffic Engineering Applied at Exit Access of Kampung Rambutan Terminal

Traffic engineering is applied at exit access of Kampung Rambutan AKAP Terminal, East Jakarta, Monday (5/22). It is purposed to minimize the buildup of the vehicles and face the upcoming homecoming season during Eid ul-Fitr.

By so, the bus won't stop or pick up the passengers carelessly again

According to Beritajakarta.id, tens of traffic cones have been installed at exit access of terminal. Its installation is started from intersection of Transjakarta bus and AKAP bus access until exit gate as long as 300 meters.

Kampung Rambutan AKAP Terminal Service Unit Head, Emiral August Dwinanto disclosed traffic engineering is to minimize traffic jam, particularly at exit access of terminal.

"By so, the bus won't stop or pick up the passengers carelessly again, including for motorcycles that often do contra flow," he stated, Monday (5/22).

He went on the say that it would be trialled for one week. If it is effective, it will be permissible.

"In the upcoming homecoming season, guarding will be more tightened. Considering the number of AKAP buses will increase every day," he closed.
