Hundreds of inter-city buses arrived and brought thousands of passenger at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Saturday (1/7). It is predicted the peak of school-holiday contra-exodus will happen today, Sunday (1/8).

The number has declined since Friday

Kampung Rambutan Terminal Head, Emeral August, said the contra-exodus number is declining since mostly the passengers have went home before school holiday ends.

“The number has declined since Friday,” he said.

Meanwhile, Group Commander of Kampung Rambutan Terminal Operational, Tito Hendarto, admitted there were 189 buses arrived on Saturday from 12 AM to 2 PM with total passengers were 4,244 people.

On Wednesday (1/4), total arrival of the buses were 609 units with total passengers 18,891 people, on Thursday (1/5) were 606 buses with total passengers 18,147 people, and Friday (1/6) were 621 buses with total passengers 17,014 people.

“Total passenger number is declining but it still higher compared on usual day,” he stated.
