Festival Beduk 24 Juni mendatang perebutkan piala Gubernur

City to Kick Off Beduk Festival at City Hall

Beduk Festival and Gema Takbir will be held on the courtyard of Jakarta City Hall, which falls on July 24, 2017. The festival will compete for the Governor Cup.

From sub-district level, the winner will be sent to city level. And the city-level winner will participate in the event at City Hall

City's Assistant to Secretary for Administrative Affairs, Bambang Sugiono disclosed, the event is started from sub-district and mayor on June 16-19.

Violating Rules, 24 Nightly Entertainment Venues Controlled

"From sub-district level, the winner will be sent to city level. And the city-level winner will participate in the event at City Hall," he expressed, Wednesday (6/14).

Bambang stated, one team consists of five drummers and and one person chanting takbir (praise to Allah). Judgment stage includes art of beating the beduk, chanting takbir lafadz and performance.

"It will be held at 8 PM. Each team is given a chance to show the skill for 10 minutes," he said.

Later on, the festival winner will get the prize, Governor Trophy, one goat, and some money.

"The first winner will get Rp 15 million, second will get Rp 10 million and third will get Rp 7.5 million," he closed.
