Governor to Attend Beduk Festival in Five Regions

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat will go around the City to attend Beduk Festival which is held simultaneously in five regions on June 21, 2017.

Winners at city level will perform at provincial level of Beduk Festival that will be held at City Hall on June 24

City's Assistant to Secretary for Administrative Affairs, Bambang Sugiyono said, Beduk Festival has been held since June 16-20 for sub-district level.

He added, winners from each sub-district will perform at city level of Beduk Festival.

City to Kick Off Beduk Festival at City Hall

"Winners at city level will perform at provincial level of Beduk Festival that will be held at City Hall on June 24," he said, Monday (6/19).

At provincial level, participant's performance will be judged by three experienced judges in different fields, such as Slamet Rahardjo (actor and director) who will evaluate team performance, Jelly Tobing (Indonesia drummer maestro) to evaluate art of beating the beduk, and Euis Sri Mulyani from Indonesia Qosidah Art Agency (LASQI) to evaluate art of tajweed pronunciation.
