Illegal Buildings Near Gondangdia Station Demolished

Illegal buildings which established under Gondangdia Railway Station, Menteng, Central Jakarta, were demolished by joint officers from PT. KAI together with Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Friday (6/13). Besides of disrupting order because it settled by People with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS), the illegal building on the location will be replaced by PT. KAI’s Logistic office (Kalog).

We had socialized this activity since long time ago to nearby residents

From beritajakarta.com observation, the demolition of raised beds (bedeng) conducted by tens of PT KAI officers together with Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Police, and Army officers. Some PMKS who settled inside the building have to be expelled forcibly and warned not to build bedeng again.

President Security of Logistic Train (Kalog), Nurdinov said, the demolition was conducted to make security and convenience for Train (KA) passengers.

PMKS Anticipation, Social Department to Deploy 160 Social Volunteers

“We had socialized this activity since long time ago to nearby residents,” he said at the location, Friday (6/13).

Nurdinov added, the building demolition was conducted because there will be Kalog office constructed on the controlled location. “The purposes of this activity are station tidiness and Kalog office construction,” he added.
