Demanded Balaikota Channel Clarification, Firstmedia Never Shows Up

City Communication, Informatics, and Public Relation Department (Diskominfomas) has summoned Firstmedia party related the airing “Balaikota Channel” some time ago. However, up until now that cable TV party never comes to City Hall. The number 20 channel is off, not airing Jakarta Provincial Government activities, especially the ones uploaded to Youtube.

Head of City Diskominfomas, Eko Hariadi, stated that his party has repeatedly summoned Firstmedia to be confirmed. However, there is no official meeting until now. “We have summoned, but they haven’t come,” said Hariadi at City Hall, Friday (6/13).

After being confirmed some time ago, “Balaikota Channel” has stopped its airing of Jakarta Governor and its vice, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. “Indeed there is no longer exists anymore about the last two weeks,” stated Hariadi.

His party promised to summon back Firstmedia party to avoid similar case not to come out again. The city government will also give affirmative sanction if there is similar case again. “They were using symbol, there is a rule in using it, for example, the Garuda symbol can be used by whom. They were using Jaya Raya symbol, so we demand their clarification,” told Hariadi.

The number 20channel only stated “Thank You for Watching Balaikota Channel Trial Airing”. On the right bottom side is also written info channel of public services and City Administration Activities.

Previously, the channel showed Jokowi’s and Basuki’s videos, especially Basuki’s video in leading meetings. Those videos were uploaded from City Government Youtube Official Account. The Jaya Raya logo and “courtesy of Youtube” is showed as well.
