Monas will Be Closed on the Upcoming Monday

Parking lot in ex-IRTI Monas also remains open, except areas inside Monas

The National Monument (Monas), Gambir, Central Jakarta will be closed on Monday (6/26) or is expected to coincide with the second day of Eid ul-Fitr.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede said Monas would be closed on the upcoming Monday. Therefore, people who want to spend their holiday time can find other recreational sites.

PPSU will Remain On Standby Along Eid Holidays

"Usually, on the second day of Eid ul-Fitr, people outside Jakarta come to enjoy Monas. But they have to find other facilities, as it won't operate on Monday," he expressed, after he attended in executive meeting at level of Central Jakarta Administration, Tuesday (6/20). 

According to him, there are still many tour sites around Monas that can be visited. One of them is Lenggang Jakarta. "Parking lot in ex-IRTI Monas also remains open, except areas inside Monas," he told.

While, Monas Management Office Head, Sabdo Kurnianto uttered closure is applied for routine maintenance of Monas' parks and elevators. "It aims to improve security and comfort for visitors. We do this routinely," he closed.
