Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah considered staple food price during Ramadan until Eid in this year is the most conducive. No significant increase in almost all food commodity prices.

"Along this year, I think staple food price is the most conducive. Everything is totally under control," he expressed at City Hall, Monday (7/3).

He mentioned rice as the most stable in price than other food commodities. It happened because PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya has plentiful rice stock thus there was no price speculation from merchant.

"There were no high or low price. All food commodities were totally under controlled. Especially rice. This is beyond our expectation, all prices we re affordable," he said.

According to him, staple food prices can be under controlled because of the coordination between three Jakarta BUMDs that engaged in food sector. There are PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PD. Pasar Jaya, and PD. Dharma Jaya.
