Council Reviews MRT Project in Lebak Bulus

Jakarta DPRD chairman and members took their time to review the development of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, Monday (7/10).

Based on Beritajakarta.id, dozens of council members from various fractions conduct a review towards MRT project. These council members consist of Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi and Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairman, Mohammad Taufik accompanied by Head of Jakarta Development Planning Board (Bappeda), Tuty Kusumawati and City Secretary, Saefullah.

At that time, Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi disclosed that review was a must thus legislative could understand the progress of MRT project development.

"We need to know the progress, when it will finish, and also about ticket price," he expressed, at the location, Monday (7/10).

Besides getting full explanation, he assessed, it is also important to calculate how much budget for the rail-based mass transportation project.

"Explanation about infrastructure is also the same where we can answer public questions," he told.

At the same time, PT MRT Financial Director, Tuhiyat explained, until June 2017, project had reached 74.89 percent.

"Until the end of this year, we're targeting 92 percent and 8 percent in 2018 until mid-year," he continued. 

He predicted, after it was operated, the Lebak Bulus-HI Roundabout MRT would be crowded by 173,000 passengers every day.

"We're optimistic it can meet the needs of people with five minutes waiting time in working hours," he closed.
