Council Supports Budget Audit For LRT

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Vice Chairman, M Taufik is supporting Jakarta Provincial Government that plans to involve Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) to audit budget for Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.

According to him, the council asks PT Jakpro to develop facility and infrastructure of 2018 Asian Games, accountable for government capital budget (PMP) allocated last year to finance LRT project.

Earlier, City Secretary, Saefullah planned to audit the project, as the issue develops if the project budget was expensive.

"We as owners must be ready when there is a growing issue," he stated. 

In the meantime, PT Jakpro President Director, Satya Heragandhi said, LRT project requires budget by Rp 6.8 trillion and facility Rp 535 billion. It will be used for LRT as long as 5.8 kilometers from Kelapa Gading-Velodrome.

"Totally we need Rp 7.3 trillion. It's targeted to be finished in August 2018," he disclosed.
