West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. cleans water channel on Jl. Ori, RT 04/05, Kota Bambu Selatan, Palmerah, Monday (7/24). This is done to add water capacity due to sedimentation.

We start the work today and have collected almost 1,000 mud sacks

Palmerah Sub-district Water Resources Sub-dept.'s Unit Head, Hindradman Dewantoro said, this i s done as follow up from citizen's report in order to prevent inundation in the area.

"We start the work today and have collected almost 1,000 mud sacks. It has been transported," he said, Monday (7/24).

He added, this 700-meters long channel is already filled by mud with 30 centimeters depth. His side predicted the mud depletion takes seven days to be finished. "We deployed 29 personnel. It is targeted to finish on Sunday," he closed.
