418 Thousand Children Targeted for MR Immunization in North Jakarta

North Jakarta Administration held Measles Rubella (MR) immunization for 800 students of SMPN 30, Koja, on Wednesday (8/2). 418 thousand children were targeted to receive MR immunization in North Jakarta Administration.

North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad said, measles immunization program is the national program in order to make Indonesia free from rubella and measles disease.

"This measles immunization is the national program. 418 thousand children are targeted to receive immunization in North Jakarta. We are targeting students in elementary and junior high school," he said.

City Starts to Socialize MR Vaccine Immunization

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Head, Muhammad Helmi added, measles immunization program is not only targeting children in school. But also to the smallest communities such as Posyandu and PAUD which is planned to be held in September. Besides SMPN 30, there are another 300 elementary students were immunized that day.

"Actually, North Jakarta has once planned to hold Crash Program Campak (CPC) in 2016. This program is specialized to suppress measles cases in community," he closed
