MMR Immunization Targeting 53,000 Children in Cilandak

53,000 children are targeted to be immunized. We'll involve 30 posyandu, puskesmas until school through jemput bola system

The Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta is targeting to give campak (measles), gondongan (mumps), and rubella (german measles) immunization towards 53,000 children or shortened to MMR. Tens of posyandu, healthcare facilities and schools have been involved to optimize it.

"53,000 children are targeted to be immunized. We'll involve 30 posyandu, puskesmas until school through jemput bola system," expressed Tomi Fudihartono, Head of Cilandak Sub-district, Tuesday (7/18).

Children Immunization in Jakarta Targeted to Touch 95 Percent

In the meantime, Cilandak Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Luigi added the target age of children who will be immunized is between 9 months-15 years old. It will reduce the risk of children affected by measles and rubella.

"It can be done toward children aged of 9 months, 18 months and 5 years old. If the children who have been immunized but still exposed to measles and rubella, the symptoms will not be as bad as not immunized," he disclosed.
