Sub-district Taskforces Deployed to Support Orderly Sidewalk

Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives (KUMKMP) Dept. intends to dispatch taskforces from sub-district in order to optimize the orderly sidewalk in Jakarta. Eventually they will accompany Satpol PP officers to be right on target during the raid.

If the sidewalk is already used as loksem, we won't control it

Jakarta KUMKMP Dept. Head, Irwandi said the taskforces would support Satpol PP to identify coaching peddlers stalls on the sidewalk not to be controlled.

Capital City must Be Orderly at All Times

"If the sidewalk is already used as loksem, we won't control it. Totally there are 283 coaching locations (lokbin) in the city," he stated, Friday (8/4).

He explains the existence of the lokbin peddlers on the sidewalk or roadside should not be controlled, especially locations that do not interfere with pedestrian activity on the sidewalk.

"If the sidewalk has five meters, three meters will be used for loksem. So the whole sidewalk is not used all of it," he closed.
