The connecting channel of Jalan Rajawali 1, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta is normalized. It is carried out to restore the function of the channel, following building demolishment a while ago.

Boris Karlop Lumbangaol, Section Head of Channel Maintenance and Treatment for Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. disclosed the channel has 1 meter width and 1.5 meters depth.
Connecting Channel at Jalan Gembira Cleaned"The channel is malfunctioned long enough. Post-demolishment, we immediately normalize the channel," he expressed, Friday (8/24).
Normalization that has been ongoing since July 21, will normalize the channel as long as 335 meters. It is targeted to be done in the upcoming October.
"Besides that, we also repair the channel's sheet pile wall," he stated.
To conduct it, we have sent 1 excavator and 20 freelancers to the field. The repair itself has reached 100 meters.
