The South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. is dredging the Permata Hijau Connecting Channel up to one kilometer length. It is carried out from Jalan Limo until Permata Hijau Boulevard, Kebayoran Lama.
It has reached 40 percent so far
South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept.'s Maintenance Section Head, Firmansyah said dredging is carried out because of sedimentation. It is done to minimize inundation in future.
Rawa Kerbau Connecting Channel Dredged"It has reached 40 percent so far," he expressed, Wednesday (5/3).
According to him, the channel is dredged up to 1-2 meters depth with 2-4 meters width. To speed up dredging, his side has deployed one excavator, one spider excavator and four dump trucks.
"We also deploy 30 freelancers to optimize it. It is targeted to be finished in the upcoming June," he closed.
