Jakarta Provincial Government with two private companies to hold public education program named 'Panggung Kampung Sehat' or shortened into 'Pangkas' for one year ahead.
Panggung Kampung Sehat is quite an effective way of education
Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, said Pangkas program will be held in 22 community gathering places such as Puskesmas (health center), Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), City Hall, tourism site, and other strategic areas in Jakarta.
"Panggung Kampung Sehat is an effective way of education. I hope its location will be add more, not only in 22 locations," he expressed at City Hall, Saturday (8/26).
World Breastfeeding Week Celebrated at Bambu Apus RPTRAHe mentioned that health education is needed to be done directly thus people are educated and aware to maintain its health continuously.
According to him, this program is a collaboration between public health education and entertainment through wayang performance. It will issue health topics and way to prevent the diseases.
He hopes this program can be helpful in order to increase public awareness towards health and its importance thus they can implement clean and healthy lifestyle in family.
"Thus Jakartans can be more understand and care about their health," he closed.
For information, this program is a continuous education activity which is done to educate people about infectious disease. Besides, it is also an effort to improve cadre or community's welfare through economic empowerment program.
Diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, intestinal worms, maternal and children health, and oral health become the main topics in this education and community empowerment program.
