"There are many success people work as businessmen, officials, TNI/Polri, and others though their parents are selling in market. So, do not underestimate traditional market's merchant," he said.
Djarot asks regional heads to maintain market area's safety and neat. Any street vendors (PKL) who are trading outside of market must be controlled. Besides, PKL existence can disrupt general order and kill economy of market's merchants.
Meanwhile, PD. Pasar Jaya President Director stated, Pelita Market appearance becomes more modern since it is revitalized. Not only facilities, it also equipped with parking area.
"This subsidized traditional market construction is one of Jakarta's systematic programs in order to keep inflation steady by strengthening food section. Thus low economic people can trading and not burdened with huge cost," he closed.
Pelita Market is built on 3,425 square meters land with building area 2,592 square meters. This market can accommodate 382 stalls from 255 merchants.
Visitors are also facilitated with nursing room, mini clinic, and toilet for disabled people. For safety, circuit closed television (CCTV) and hydrant are also equipped in the location.
