152 Markets in Jakarta Targeted to Get SNI

152 traditional markets that spread in the capital are targeted to get the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) in accordance with mandate of Draft Bylaw on Marketing that still being discussed by Jakarta DPRD.

PD Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin expressed, 17 out of 152 markets already have SNI certificate and completed with supporting facility.

He mentions 17 markets that have SNI certificate are Manggis Market on Jalan Guntur, South Jakarta and Pondok Indah Market on Jalan Ciputat Raya, Kebayoran Lama. While for the markets that have supporting facilities such as clinic and worship place are Pelita Market and Walang Baru Market.
"We will continue to its standarization, as there will be an evaluation every year," he uttered.
He added, all this time, the authority of the market evaluation is handed over to the National Standarization Agency (BSN).
