According to Teuku Iskandar, Head of Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC), normalization package 1 project in Bukit Duri is targeted to be completed by the end of the upcoming October. The project stretches along approximately 4.4 kilometers from Manggarai Sluice Gate to Kampung Melayu Bridge on Jalan KH Abdullah Syafi'i.

Besides normalization, his party also plans to minimize water channel from five points into three points. Two points of channel will be closed down and then provided with mobile pump.
The river will also be widened from 25 meters into 40-50 meters. Hopefully water debit would increase, that was originally only about 200 cubic meters per second to 570 cubic meters per second.
"This project is divided into four packages. It will have totally 19 kilometers length, stretching from Manggarai Sluice Gate to the bridge of Jalan TB Simatupang. It will spend Rp 1.18 trillion," he closed.
