2,100 Satpol PP Personnel Ready to Secure JNF

As many as seven stages are prepared for Jakarta Night Festival (JNF) this evening, Saturday (6/21). Those stages, which will show various performances, are spread along Jalan MH Thamrin until Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, starting from Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout until Monas.

To give security and comfort for people coming to JNF, Jakarta Satpol PP will deploy thousands of personnel. In addition, personnel from the police and Indonesian Army (TNI) will also be involved.

We will deploy 2,100 joint personnel from five municipalities and standby since 3.30 PM until 11.30 PM. Every stage will be secured by 50 Satpol PP personnel and the rest will be on guard around Monas and Jalan MH Thamrin,” stated Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Kukuh Hadi Santosa, Friday (6/20).

Jokowi Praises JNF Management

While during Jakarnaval which will be held on Sunday (6/22) starting from 3 PM until 6 PM, Jakarta Satpol PP will deploy 700 personnel.

According to Chairman of Jakarta’s 487th Anniversary Committee, Bambang Sugiono, the Jakarnaval will involve 1,200 pedestrians, five giant masks, and five groups from Bali, Ponorogo, Surakarta, Indramayu, and East Kalimantan.

“Jakarnaval parade will be started from Horse Statue until HI Roundabout,” he said.

Moreover, Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department Tourism Destinations Attraction Management Section, Ida Subaidah, informed that besides involving thousands of participants and cultures from outside Jakarta, Jakarnaval this year will also be enlivened by 30 decorative vehicles from Regional Working Units (SKPD).
