Showroom at Jakarta History Museum Revitalized

The showroom at Jakarta History Museum, Kota Tua area, Jalan Taman Fatahillah, Pinangsia Urban Village, Taman Sari, West Jakarta is revitalized in two stages. 

Revitalization phase I has been ongoing since the beginning of this year, and is targeted to be completed in the upcoming October

Sri Kusumawati, Head of History Museum Management Unit, expressed the showroom is built on a 960.6-square-meter land with 14 sections. Revitalization itself is focused on the first floor. 

"Revitalization phase I has been ongoing since the beginning of this year, and is targeted to be completed in the upcoming October," she stated, Tuesday (9/26).

Fatahillah Museum Visitors Continue to Increase

She explains facilities and infrastructure that revitalized are including installation of glass cabinets, projectors, Wi-Fi and repair of museum entrances on the west side.

"For the first phase, it will spend Rp 6 billion," he stated.

After it is done, it will be continued with second phase including storyline making by involving team of historians. Thus, through this revitalization, visitors are expected could be more educated about the history.

"In mid-December, the second phase is targeted to be done by spending Rp 10 billion," she closed.
