C. Jakarta Opens Stall in Mall to Promote Batik Betawi

Central Jakarta Administration provides one stall to sell Batik Betawi in one of shopping centers in the area.

I want one stall in Central Jakarta for Batik Betawi. We will provide more if there is a lot demand

Hopefully Batik Betawi craftsmen could be easier to sell their own products to the broader market from that stall.

"I want one stall in Central Jakarta for Batik Betawi. We will provide more if there is a lot of demand," said Mangara Pardede, Central Jakarta Mayor, Monday (10/2).

Governor wants Batik Training to Be Intensified

According to him, Kwitang is the place for most of Batik Betawi craftsmen in Central Jakarta. His side also gives training to help craftsmen business development.

"There are more than four batik craftsmen in Kwitang. We will help and place them in shopping center thus Batik Betawi, especially from Central Jakarta, could be widely known," he closed.
