Commission C Discussed Local Revenue Obtained By Recreational Sites

Jakarta DPRD Commission C held a working meeting along with Tourism and Culture Dept. to discuss local revenue resulting from several recreational sites in the capital.

"We want to find out how much revenue has been collected, whether it is optimal or not," expressed Santoso, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD Commission C, Tuesday (10/10).

He assessed, with so many recreational sites and managed by each Management Unit (UP), the revenue should be significant.

"Therefore we want to encourage them (Tourist and Culture Dept.) and UP to make good creativity in boosting tourist visits," he said.

At the same place, Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. Head, Tinia Budiati expressed, along January-September 2017, his dept. managed to collect local revenues from tourist objects amounting to Rp 18 billion or 69 percent of the target at Rp 26 billion this year.

"By the end of this year, we're still optimistic that tourist visits will increase significantly, because of school holidays," he uttered.
