Jakarta Is Set in 100 Resilient Cities

Jakarta as the capital city of the country is set in 100 Resilient Cities (100 RC).

In May 2016, Jakarta was chosen a member of the RC100 network by outperforming 300 applications from other cities around the world

The forum is an international network to help cities around the world to be more resilient to physical, social and economic challenges.

Jakarta Bappeda Head, Tuty Kusumawati said, through the forum, Jakarta can learn a lot about the solution of the problems that exist in other cities.

"In May 2016, Jakarta was chosen a member of the RC100 network by outperforming 300 applications from other cities around the world," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (10/11).

According to her, as a big city, Jakarta nowadays must begin to realize to find solutions for the problems of the city ahead. It is not only the good solution good but also the right and fast.

"In looking for solutions can't rely on the central government only, but also must explore the problems as well as find a solution that is good, right and fast," he said.

In finding the solution, his party will also be assisted by 100 RC network to develop and implement resilient city strategies. The preparation process will be accompanied by Chief of Resilient Officer.

"In the Jakarta City Resilience Team, we also involve all elements of society, ranging from apparatuses, academics, business sectors and also community representatives," he uttered.
