Anies Expects Youth Can Keep Unity Through Creativity

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, became the inspector of Sumpah Pemuda Day (Youth Pledge) ceremony at IRTI Monas Field, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (10/30).

In addition to delivering the speech of Youth and Sports Minister, the governor hoped that youth could be able to maintain unity and national unity through creativity.

"We want unity maintained through the creativity of young people. Being part of the 21st century, we hope the new generation of Indonesia can also play with the works," he expressed, Monday (10/30).

Sumpah Pemuda, PTSP Goes to Mall will Be Different

He expressed, in 1928, young people were able to make a breakthrough by declaring sumpah pemuda, which is one of its points to agree on the language of unity, Indonesian Language.

"With tens of ethnic groups having up to 700 languages is a challenge in itself, so the ability to build a unified language is a breakthrough in its time," he stated.

"Usually there is a country used to make the constitution after it establishes its language. If Indonesia agrees to its people, it is only 17 years later the country will agree," he closed.
