Visitors of Wayang Museum in Kota Tua area, Jl. Pintu Besar Utara, Pinangsia Urban Village, Taman Sari, West Jakarta in January-September 2017 periods are higher compared to the same periods last year.

It is 32,136 higher

Wayang Museum Service Unit Head, Sumardi said, there are 243,631 visitors from January to September 2017. While in January to September 2016 there were 211,495 visitors.

"It is 32,136 higher," he said, Monday (10/30).

He explained, not only wayang collection, but museum visitors can also enjoy wayang performance. Until now his side has conducted 31 wayang performances in total for each weeks.

"40 wayang performances until this December are targeted ," he expressed.

He explained, wayang is one of Indonesian cultural arts which implies moral values. Thus it is very important to preserve wayang.

"We hope amounts of people who visit this museum and love their own nation's history from its arts and cultures could be increased," he closed.
