Sandi: OK OTrip, Affordable Transportation Program

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno led preparation and launching on One Karcis One Trip (OK OTrip) affordable transportation program.

Later on , all public transportation will be integrated with Transjakarta bus

Based on Beritajakarta observation, this meeting was attended by Jakarta Transportation Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah; PT. Transportation Jakarta (Transjakarta) Director, Budi Kaliwono; and other transportation experts.

Sandi said, meeting was focused on OK-Otrip service duration, range, route, remaining public transportation, and technical payment.

Public Vehicle will Be Re-routed to Apply OK-OTRIP

"Experts will be involved to analyze any applicable data. We will analyze the locations, routes, and methods to integrate it with existing services," he said, Monday (11/6).

He explained, four routes have been planned to be used for OK OTrip pilot project by using Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and low entry buses such as Semanggi-Senen, Lebak Bulus-Blok M, Senen-Sunter, and SCBD-Gandaria.  

"Within one week ahead, we will ask for governor approval regarding pilot project's launching and operation," he added.

According to him, passengers only need to pay Rp 5,000 for one trip through this program.

"Later on, all public transportation will be integrated with Transjakarta bus," he added.

Based on analysis result, OK OTrip will give many benefits, such as minimizing life cost related to transportation, traffic jam will be decreased, and increase chance for employment.

"The most important is, it could make Jakarta becomes more orderly. We hope this could also improve tourism promotion," he closed.
