Relocated is targeted to be completed on November 19

The regional drinking water company (PDAM) Jaya will relocate the water transmission pipeline at Jalan Kartini, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, tonight. It needs to be done, as the transmission pipe is affected by the Kartini Underpass project.

PDAM Jaya President Director, Erlan Hidayat expressed, transmission pipes that will be relocated have 1,200 millimeters with 225 meters length. 

"Relocated is targeted to be completed on November 19. During the ongoing process, there will be disruption of the clean water supply," he stated, Friday (11/17).

He explained, disruption of the clean water supply through the piping system would be experienced by customers at some areas. They are Pondok Pinang, Selong, Kramat Pela, Melawai, Gunung, Petogogan, Pancoran, Kebon Baru, Tebet Timur, Bukit Duri, Manggarai Selatan, Kampung Melayu, and sekitarnya. 

Then water supply will be stopped in areas of Kelapa Dua, Meruya Selatan, Srengseng, Kebayoran Lama Selatan, Sukabumi Selatan, Grogol Utara, Grogol Selatan, Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Lama Utara, Pancoran, Mampang, Perapatan, Tegal Parang, Pela Mampang, Duren Tiga, Bangka, Pejaten Barat, Pancoran, Cikoko, Duren Tiga, Kalibata, Pegadegan, Rawa Jati, and its surrounding areas.

"We urge our customers to provide water for the water supply as early, as the water supply will be back to normal on November 20, at 12 PM," he explained.

As an anticipative step, he added, PDAM Jaya together with operators of water service in Jakarta will alert the tank car.

"The need for clean water in hospitals and small worship houses (mushola) will also be the focus of our attention," he uttered.
