Clean Water Supply Pipeline System in Pegadungan Reviewed

The City-owned tap water company PDAM Jaya is still reviewing the supply of clean water through the pipeline system in Pegadungan Urban Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

PDAM Jaya President Director, Erlan Hidayat expressed, it is done to determine the interest of citizens who want to use the services of PDAM. Currently, the process is still under evaluation and assessment.

"We're trying to find solution how to meet clean water for the locals," he stated, Monday (11/20).

If the Water Treatment Plant at Penjaringan Urban Forest in North Jakarta is already constructed, he explained, it would greatly assist the supply of clean water in West Jakarta.

"It's targeted to be completed in 2018," he told.

In the meantime, Lydia Astriningworo, Head of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyha) uttered, her party becomes the operator of clean water service for West Jakarta area. Then for Pegadungan area, the survey analysis is still ongoing.

"We will give the best for the people to easily get the water services. As long as the piping system has not been realized, clean water supply is done using a tank car," she closed.
