Sandi Will Survey Flood-Prone Areas

We will survey around North Jakarta and other areas prone to flood and inundation thus anticipation could be done

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno is scheduled to survey areas prone to flood and inundation in Jakarta, especially in coastal area. It is done to map out the steps to anticipate floods and inundation following its handling.

"We will survey around North Jakarta and other areas prone to flood and inundation thus anticipation could be done," he stated, Wednesday (12/6).

He mentioned, tidal flood in Penjaringan, North Jakarta must be concerned more.

According to him, temporary embankment from sandbags has been built, water pumps have been operated, and personnel have been sent to the field.

"Sandbags will retain the water temporarily and pumps must be ready 24 hours if tidal flood happens. We will prepare it continuously," he explained.
