East Jakarta Administration along with the police and the PD Pasar Jaya today are doing monitoring of price and food quality in Perumnas Klender Market, Jalan Teratai Putih, Klender, Duren Sawit.

 This is quite volatile

Sofyan Thaher, Assistant for East Jakarta Economic and Development disclosed, based on monitoring results, there are some commodity prices that have increased from Rp 1,000 to Rp 5,000.

"This is quite volatile. Except the price of beef remains stable and the red peppers are actually decreasing," he expressed, at the location, Monday (12/18). 

Meanwhile, Bersimen Tinambunan, Head of Perumnas Klender Maret expressed price hike on staples is triggered by high demand. Since last week, his side has held a market operation with related units.

"We do monitoring towards price and appeal traders not to increase the price too high," he explained.
