DKI Sulit Realisasikan Harga Daging Hanya 80 Ribu

City Tries to Stable Meat Price

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat acknowledged, until now, some staples price in the capital is still rocketing.

The price is not yet stable, such as meat. We hope it can be under Rp 100,000 per kg. As for chicken and onion, is still stable enough

To work around this, the city administration continues to intensify Market Operation (OP). With that step, several basic needs, according to Djarot, are experiencing stabilization.

Beef Stock for Market Operation Added by 2.5 Tons

"The price is not yet stable, such as meat. We hope it can be under Rp 100,000 per kg. As for chicken and onion, is still stable enough. Insha Allah (God willing), it also happens to rice," he stated, Monday (6/13).

He admitted, for meat price, his party still tries to follow price that was set by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo, that is Rp 80,000 per kg. Yet the city only targets under Rp 100,000 per kg.

"Even President wants Rp 80,000 per kg. But it is little difficult. But we will try to realized it," he expressed.

It is indeed always high during Ramadhan. He suspected, it is due to cheating "mafia" action.

"We will eradicate them. Market operation is hoped able suppress mafias and wholesalers," he uttered.
