Seribu Islands Environment (LH) Sub-dept. socializes e-waste program by collecting used electronics and discarding the dangerous components.

Seribu Islands LH Sub-dept.'s Environmental Impacts and Hygiene Control Section Head, Ari Prabowo mentioned, his side encourages people to collect e-waste goods from home and put it in provided boxes at strategic places.

"We have started this movement from regency office. We do it since e-waste goods have dangerous substances such as mercury, tin, nickel, and cadmium," he conveyed, Tuesday (12/26).

Collected e-waste both from residents and civil apparatus (ASN) will be transported to Prasadha Pamuna Industry Waste (PPLI).

"Later on, box will be placed in each urban villages since we are still reviewing its minimum storage limit," he stated.
