Sandi Monitoring Stock and Price of Rice

Distribution is smooth and rice price is still stable so far

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno is monitoring stock and price of rice in PT Food Station Tjipinang and Cipinang Rice Market (PIBC), Jalan Pisangan Lama Selatan, Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta.

Sandi disclosed, Jakarta Provincial Government continues to monitor the progress of rice stock, ranging from supply, distribution, etc.

Sandi Ensures Rice Price is Stable

"Distribution is smooth and rice price is still stable so far," he expressed, Wednesday (12/27).

He explained, the city has coordinated with Trade Ministry, Agriculture Ministry and related units to maintain stabilization of rice price.

"I've asked the Bulog and Trade Ministry to distribute rice in accordance with the need of the market," he explained.

As a form of supervision, he stated, a special team would be prepared to coordinate to traditional markets. Thus, all rice prices are in accordance with existing rules.

"I make sure people do not have to worry for the guaranteed rice stock," he exclaimed.

In the meantime, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya President Director, Arief Prasetyo Adi added, until this morning, rice supply has reached 2,033 tons and its stock has reached 36,000 tons.

"Until the harvest, I make sure the stock and price of rice in Jakarta is well preserved," he said.
