Six Trees Fall as Heavy Rains Hit East Jakarta

Six trees and an iron frame roof collapsed after heavy rain accompanied by strong winds today, Sunday (12/31) noon. It was occurred at Jalan Pramuka, Utan Kayu Urban Village, Matraman, East Jakarta.

Currently, the officers have handled some of them. Victims and losses are still being investigated

Jakarta BPBD Head, Jupan Royter Tampubolon explained that those trees were collapsed on Jalan Proklamasi, Pegangsaan Urban Village, Menteng, at around 2.29 PM.

There were also on Jalan Margono Djoyo Hadikusumo, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang, around 2.15 PM, Jalan Raden Saleh Raya, Kenari, Senen, around 2.57 PM, Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara, around 2.30 PM, Jalan Rasamala, Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, around 2.52 PM and Jalan Setiabudi Tengah 9, Setiabudi Urban Village, Setiabudi, around 2.34 PM.

"Currently, the officers have handled some of them. Victims and losses are still being investigated," he said.

Aside that, the officers also evacuated a collapsed iron frame roof on Jalan Pramuka, Utan Kayu Selatan Urban Village, Matraman 

"It was occurred at around 2.18 PM. And now it is still being evacuated by our officer," he stated.
