LH Dept. Involves Communities to Clean Up Trash

Jakarta Environment (LH) Dept. is involving communities to assist in cleaning the trash during New Year's Eve event.

In the future, trash handling needs to be done by action

According to Jakarta LH Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji information, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, has instructed to involve communities in trash cleaning.

"In the future, trash handling needs to be done by action. Citizens should take their part," Isnawa affirmed, Sunday (12/31).

5,000 Janitors will Be Alerted During New Year's Eve

He mentioned, there are several communities involved in cleaning such as Generasi Literat, Teens Go Green Indonesia, and students from Sekolah Rakyat Ancol.

"We hope there will be many communities involved," he expressed.

Meanwhile, PT. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Director, Paul Tehusijarana mentioned his side will hold beach cleaning action on January 1, at 8 AM.

"We hold 'Beach Clean Up 2018'. There is an interesting prizes for participants in this action, from cash to bicycle prize," he stated.

He added, this cleaning action has been applied since 2010. Usually, Ancol visitors and local residents will be involved in it.

"This year, we deploy 490 personnel to maintain cleanliness in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol," he said.
