Jakarta's Economic Growth Targeted to Touch 6.31 Percent

Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting economic growth this year by 6.31 percent. Some are still the belle of the transportation, storage and financial services.

Jakarta's economic growth is hoped to hit 6.31 percent this year

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno hoped economic growth could be higher than the target. The regional working units (SKPD) and related agencies are asked to help improve economic growth in the capital.

"Jakarta's economic growth is hoped to hit 6.31 percent this year. This is a challenge because we want to break higher numbers," he expressed, at City Hall, Monday (1/8).

This Year, Sandi Optimistic DKI's Economic Growth to Reach 6 Percent

According to him, one of the challenges faced is to create jobs as many as possible, especially in terms of based-economy creative and digital.

"Some that still dominate are the transportation, storage and financial services," he told.

He also targets to increase the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) ranking. According to the government's target, the ranking can penetrate the top 40.

"We are targeting, each sub-district has better growth for ease of starting a business and can keep inflation in Jakarta," he said.
