"Previously, Kota Tua was not only used as a trade center in Southeast Asia, but also world. Thus we hope it to be restored immediately," he mentioned at City Hall, Tuesday (1/16).

Later on, he also wants to ensure fire accident in Maritime Museum will not affect UNESCO decision since it is still a part of Kota Tua.
For information, Kota Tua has been proposed to UNESCO as world heritage since 2015. There are several requirements that must be fulfilled by Jakarta Provincial Government. One of them is to revitalize Kota Tua area.
