Puskesmas Doctors Come Late, Residents Complained

Some residents are complaining the performance of doctors in Pondok Kelapa Urban Village Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Duren Sawit Sub-District, East Jakarta, who often come late.

“I’ve been in line since 7 AM. The practice schedule today is 7.30 AM until 12 PM, but the doctor came at 9.30 AM,” lamented Tamin, a resident of RT 08/07, Kampung Tipar, Pondok Kelapa, Saturday (7/5).
Responding that, Head of Pondok Kelapa Urban Village Community Health Center, dr Lennywati is reluctant to give comment. Instead, she asked about duty paper, assignment letter, et cetera to the reporters.

For that, Head of East Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Yuditha Endah Primaningtyas, promised to immediately responded residents’ complaints on late arrival of Pondok Kelapa Urban Village Community Health Center doctors.
“I’ve reminded them many times, but this time I will warn them,” she stated.
According to Primaningtyas, doctors should have communicated with community health center’s staff if they have urgent matters. So, the patients can choose whether to wait the doctor or be served by replacement doctor.
“The doctors should have informed community health center head if they were coming late. So, their positions can be replaced temporarily to serve the patients,” she uttered.
