Local citizens living in Rawa Badak Selatan, Koja, North Jakarta, hoping to have a decent community health center (puskesmas) in their neighborhood. This is because, all this time health service only placed in a rented house.
I've sent a letter to the Mayor to use the land as community health center
As happened in Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village, where people previously did medical check-up at Rawa Badak Utara Community Health Center. Yet, since the past year, the Health Sub-Department rent a house to be used as community health center located along with other citizens' houses on Jalan K II, RT 09/05, Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village.
Sherly, (33), one of citizens at RT 04/05, Rawabadak Selatan, hoped the decent community health center could be built soon. Moreover, the current community health center that uses rented house is unworthy as the center of people's health.
City Adds Polyclinic in Flats"We have to pass citizen houses first to get the community health center. Its room is narrow and unworthy," she lamented, Tuesday (5/6).
One of staffs at Rawa Badak Selatan Community Health Center, Izal admitted that the service is not yet optimal. Thus his side had to optimize the existing rooms as a service place.
Such condition can be seen at doctor's office located on the 2nd floor, in which it stair is deemed dangerous for elderly patients. Because of this, he had to carry the patient for medical check-up on the 2nd floor.
"Every day, our patient reaches 60 people. Certainly, we've done our best by optimizing the existing room," he expressed.
When being contacted, Head of Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village, Sutarjo, admitted his party has reported this matter to local government to use an empty land inside Rawa Badak Stadium Complex, to be built as a community health center.
"I've sent a letter to the Mayor to use the land as community health center," he explained.
Meanwhile North Jakarta Mayor, Heru Budi Hartono, uttered his party had conveyed the proposal to Jakarta Financial Management Body (BPKD) and Sport Department as the land owner. He also hoped the proposal can be approved.
"Hopefully, our proposal could be approved as soon as possible, thus public service could be implemented optimally," he expected.
