Crossing of Sepatan River in Cilincing Dredged

40 personnel of North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. are deployed to dredge mud in the channels which are connected with crossing on Jalan Cacing, Cilincing. The channel itself connects KBN River, Progo River and Gubug River towards Sepatan River.

Hopefully it can be complete in two weeks

Cilincing Sub-district Head, Purnomo explains those channels are very vital to flow water from those rivers toward Sepatan River. If it is done, it will trigger inundation in citizen settlement, RW 04 and 05, Semper Barat Urban Village.

"Channels on west and east sides of Jalan Cacing are already full of mud. It leaves 30 centimeters from the surface of the channel," he told, Wednesday (1/24).

Cilincing Sub-district's Water Resources Section Head, Sarkam uttered, to conduct dredging, his side will close water flow into box culvert as deep as 2 meters.

Besides that, dredging also includes the channel that connects both sides of the crossing of Jalan Cacing, which is under the toll road.

"Hopefully it can be complete in two weeks," he hoped.
