Aid Keeps Distributing to Flood Victims in Cawang

The aid for hundreds of flood victims in Cawang Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta has been distributed. Even though it had receded, but the water was still flooding the houses.

The flood has started to recede but there are still 583 refugees

Cawang Urban Village Head, Haerudin said, up to 3 PM, there were still 583 people who persist in four refugee camps. The water had receded from three meters become one meter.

"The flood has started to recede but there are still 583 refugees, because their houses are still flooded, especially those on the edge of Ciliwung River," he stated, Tuesday (2/6). 

Water Level at Manggarai Floodgate Recedes

According to him, flood was still detected in RW 01, 02, 03, 05, 08 and 12. The refugee camps that have been set up are located at Stikes Binawan RW 05, SDN Cawang 03, Al Ikhlas Mosque, and Gg. Arus.

"We keep distributing aid to them. Besides public kitchen, we also give food, groceries until blanket," he stated.

Among them are 25 boxes of instant noodle, 3 jerry cans of cooking oil, 25 boxes of sardines, and 3 bags of rice weighing 50 kilograms. In addition, the urban village also prepared packaged rice meals about 500 packs.
