Jakarta Environment (LH) Dept. attempts to clean floating trash in Ciliwung River since Monday (2/5).
From Monday, we have transported 1,596 tons of trash
Until now, LH Dept. has transported 1,596 tons of trash from Ciliwung River.
Piles of Trash Under Ciliwung River Bridge Cleaned"From Monday, we have transported 1,596 tons of trash," informed Isnawa Adji, Jakarta LH Dept. Head, Wednesday (2/7).
He conveyed, his side collects most of trash from Season City West Flood Canal (BKB), Manggarai Floodgate, and Kampung Melayu Bridge.
He explained, there are around 60 tons of trash from Season City BKB. While 32 tons are from Manggarai Floodgate.
"Most trash is taken from Kampung Melayu Bridge with total 1,504 tons," he expressed.
According to him, besides Water Resources Dept., his side also cleans trash and mud in areas affected to flood.
"We coordinate with regional apparatuses to clean trash in flooded locations," he said.
