To suck up the remaining floods, 12 mobile pumps and 5 stationer pumps are alerted in Kampung Melayu area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday (2/8). 

We also have sent 200 freelancers to help flood victims in the field

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Mustajab stated 10 pumps are able to suck up water up to 200 liters per second and 2 other pumps can suck up 150 liters per second. There are also 5 stationer pumps from Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC).

"We also have sent 200 freelancers to help flood victims in the field," he expressed.

He stated, constraints faced in handling flood is the lack of mobile pumps. So his side asked for help of Alkal's East, South and West Flow Unit to borrow mobile pumps.

"All pumps are alerted in Kampung Melayu up to February 30. We do this to anticipate the upcoming extreme weather," he asserted.
