250 Residents of BLHS Social Institution Participated in Voting

For the first time, as many as 250 residents of Bina Laras Harapan Sentosa (BLHS) Social Institution 1, Jalan Kemuning Raya No. 17, Cengkareng Barat Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, are using their voting rights in the 2014 presidential election, Wednesday (7/9). To smoothen its implementation, 12 officers deployed to direct them how to vote.

Head of BLHS Social Institution, Sarima disclosed the voting conducted in his institution occupied by people with mental disorders is the first time conducted. In that occasion, as many as 5 polling stations (TPS) are provided, such as TPS 008, 016, 017, 018, and 023.

To smoothen the voting process, he continued, as many as 250 voters comprising 200 men and 50 women are given uniforms in form of white collared shirt and training pants.

 

The 12 officers are prepared to direct the voting mechanism to the voters. "Indeed, the voters are people with mental disorders, but they enthusiastic to cast voting rights and also runs orderly," she stated.

Cucum Sumardi, Commissioner of West Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) expressed in accordance with the rule of the Additional Special Voters List (DPKT) mentions if the voters are institution occupants, they have rights to vote.

He added that those five TPSs are located around Cengkareng area placed inside the institution to accommodate the voters. "There are two institutions listed in the DPKT, such as PSBLHS and Werdha. They are located in Cengkareng with 359 voters," he uttered.
