Illegal Parking, 79 Vehicles in Jatinegara Netted

We do this, because many vehicles are parked carelessly and public minivans pick up passenger illegally every day

Around 70 joint personnel of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Garnisun, POM AD, POM AL and Traffic Region Unit have controlled 79 vehicles during Lintas Jaya Operation at Jalan Matraman up to in front of Jatinegara Station, Jalan Bekasi Timur. 

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept.'s Supervision and Control Section Head, Slamet Dahlan stated it is conducted to follow up residents' complaints about illegal parking.

363 Vehicles Netted in East Jakarta Lintas Jaya Operation

"We do the operation around Gunung Antang up to in front of Jatinegara Station. We do this, because many vehicles are parked carelessly and public minivans pick up passenger illegally every day. Surely it causes traffic jam," he stated, Tuesday (3/6).

Of 79 vehicles netted, 25 out of them are ticketed, 20 public minivans are ticketed, and 5 vehicles' operation had to be stopped due to unworthy and expired kir certificate.

There are also 13 vehicles towed after parking on the sidewalk and roadside, as well as 17 other vehicles are flattened.

"We'll do the same action in some similar locations in the future," he stressed.
