Joint Personnel Held Sidewalk Awareness Operation in Jatinegara

85 joint personnel held Sidewalk Awareness Month operation in Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Wednesday (1/31). Tens street vendor (PKL) stalls and tens vehicles were netted in this operation.

Operation is done due to many PKLs and vehicles occupy the sidewalk

Personnel controlled several locations, start from Jalan DI Panjaitan, south side of Jalan Bekasi Barat, Jalan Raya Jatinegara Timur, Jalan Otista Raya and Jalan Otista III.

Jatinegara Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Sadikin informed, 25 PKL stalls were netted and 15 PKLs were driven out. They opened their stalls on sidewalk along south side of Jalan Bekasi Barat and Jalan Jatinegara Timur.

"Operation is done due to many PKLs and vehicles occupy the sidewalk and roadside thus disturbed public orders," he mentioned.

Besides PKL, his side also controlled illegal parking vehicles. Four cars were towed by Transportation Sub-dept, six bajajs were ticketed and four motorcycles were flattened.
