77 Animals Vaccinated with Anti-Anthrax in Kramat Jati

77 animals in four urban villages of Kramat Jati Sub-districts, East Jakarta, got anti-anthrax vaccination. This is done to anticipate anthrax disease in the area.

East Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity Section Head, Irma Budiany said to hold vaccination in Balekambang, Dukuh, Batu Ampar and Cililitan Urban Villages. There are 11 dairy cows, 50 beef cows, 13 goats, and 3 sheep.

"We visit the farm and give vaccine to avoid anthrax disease in communities," she stated, Tuesday (3/6).

In order to avoid anthrax disease, her side will give vaccination to animals prone to anthrax such as cow, goat, sheep, buffalo, and others.

"Anthrax is one of dangerous zoonosis diseases. It is caused by bacillus anthracis bacteria that can be transmitted to human," she explained.
